What youll be doing
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees across multiple locations. This role ensures compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and proven experience with Paycom payroll software.
- Process bi-weekly and/or weekly payroll using Paycom including regular earnings bonuses deductions and adjustments
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records including tax withholdings direct deposit information and benefit deductions
- Review timekeeping records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws and company policies
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide timely accurate responses
- Assist with payroll audits year-end processes and tax filings (W-2s 941s etc.)
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment and data accuracy
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times
What skills and experience youll bring to us
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in accounting business or related field preferred
- 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Experience using Paycom is required
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
