Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced AI Engineer to join our team. The ideal professional will be hands-on and drive design development and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based solutions for Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Investment Banking (IB) Tech. This role involves working with large datasets conducting experiments and staying updated with the latest advancements in AI and Machine Learning. This professional is expected to innovate and lead the Tech efforts in modernizing the engineering landscape by identifying AI use cases and provide local support. What Youll Do
Design develop and implement AI and Gen-AI based Agentic software systems on the cloud
Collaborate with other development teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to integrate shared services into products
Learn Deutsche Banks AI Governance framework and operate within safe AI principles
Leverage architecture decision trees to pick strategic AI patterns to solve business problems
Integrate Gen-AI application programming interface (APIs) with cloud-native presentation (GKE Cloud Run) and persistent layers (PostgreSQL BQ)
Run systems at scale while continuing to innovate and evolve and work with data engineers and scientists to ensure effective data collection and preparation for training AI models
Skills Youll Need
Bachelors degree or equivalent required
AI Expertise and proficiency in frameworks (Langchain Streamlit or similar) libraries (Scikit-learn or similar) and cloud platforms (Vertex AI or OpenAI)
Prompt Engineering & Red Amber Green (RAG) skills in crafting effective prompts and enhancing AI outputs with external data integration
NLP Strong knowledge understanding of natural language processing and conversational AI technologies
Deployment & Operations experience in model deployment monitoring optimization (MLOps) and problem-solving
Proficiency with cloud-native orchestration systems (Docker/Kubernetes) Python or Java and Structured Query Language (SQL); as well as knowledge of RESTful design
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Experience as a Data/AI Engineer with Proven expertise in designing developing and deploying data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services or any equivalent cloud service
Experience with Vertex AI and machine learning models and algorithms using PyTorch TensorFlow or any other machine learning frameworks
In-depth knowledge of GCP and its core data services (GCS Big Query Cloud Storage Dataflow etc.)
Strong proficiency in Python & SQL for data management. Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and version control systems such as Git
Expectations
It is the Banks expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Banks hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $85000 to $ salaries may be based on a number of factors including but not limited to a candidates skill set experience education work location and other qualifications.
