Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key liaison between accounting operations and IT to ensure business process alignment with accounting standards and system capabilities.
- Lead and support the implementation and integration of financial and operational software including ERP and logistics platforms.
- Design and map current and future business processes to optimize workflow and data integrity.
- Develop and document accounting procedures and internal controls aligned with system capabilities.
- Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance in accordance with US GAAP including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
- Evaluate compliance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for operational and strategic decision-making.
- Analyze complex transactions and provide accounting recommendations and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes with emphasis on system-generated entries and integrations.
- Perform technical accounting research and prepare white papers and memos as needed.
- Train and support end users on financial system functionalities and best practices.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to system implementations and accounting treatments.
- Continuously evaluate system performance and propose enhancements to improve financial accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Information Systems required.
- CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a role involving business systems or technical accounting.
- Experience in the last mile delivery transportation or logistics sector is a plus.
- Proven track record of participating in or leading ERP or financial systems implementations.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite Oracle SAP or similar.
- Familiarity with data mapping workflow design and systems integration best practices.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in cross-functional collaboration between finance IT and operations.
- Background in both public accounting and industry roles.
- Hands-on experience with API integrations and data automation tools.
