JOB BAND: B
CONTRACT TYPE: 12 month Fixed term contract/attachment - parental leave cover Part time - ideally 4 days per week
DEPARTMENT: BBC Creative
LOCATION: London Broadcasting House Hybrid (Tuesday and Thursday in the office)
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 35000 - 40000 (full time equivalent) depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a Personal Assistant to join BBC Creative the BBCs in-house creative agency who create branding and promotional content inspired by the BBCs marketing strategy. This is a parental leave cover role which will start in early September 2025 and end at the end of August 2026.

Our team works on a broad range of material from simple audience communication to complex multi-platform brand campaigns. We are passionate about our work examples of which can be seen here: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
- A good communicator with knowledge of the managers or activities they assist the PA will act as the first point of contact handling complex and confidential situations and requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Organise and co-ordinate events and meetings including the booking of venues travel and accommodation.
- Provide diary management services including the management and scheduling of key calendar appointments ensuring effective use of managers time.
- Frequently liaise with various internal and external contacts screening and prioritising all forms of incoming communications.
- Dealing with routine issues and co-ordinating more complex responses ensuring that these are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
- PR - including co-ordinating awards entries.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Recent experience of working as a PA to senior level managers and supporting senior staff at a large organisation.
- A keen interest in or experience of marketing and/or production.
- Confident communication skills.
- Ability to research collate and present information - with strong attention to detail.
- Pro-activity and initiative - able to deal with queries as they arise escalating as necessary.
