Staff Accountant
Reporting to the Team Lead of Finance our StaffAccountant is a key member of the Corporate Reporting team which manages and leads the financial operations and provides meaningful information to the business and its shareholder. You will oversee the day-to-day accounting requirements of the Corporate Reporting Team.
Here is what a typical day looks like
- Identify and prepare all journal entries as required
- Provide and document financial statement support including analysis calculations and reconciliation for key general ledger accounts
- Assisting in preparation of financial reports and regulatory reports for Parent Company (Wawanesa) including templates for reporting and initial analysis as required
- Responding to internal client enquiries and following through on resolution of issues
- Ensure financial statement close process controls are followed appropriately and effectively
- Oversee the day-to-day full cycle accounting functions
The value you bring
- Bachelors degree or Diploma in Accounting Finance or Commerce
- Previous experience with balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting is preferred
- Proficient in Excel and Word
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Location: Calgary AB (Hybrid)
Salary range: $61000 - $71000
