Job Description
This is a full-time hourly level position.
Position Summary:
- ADM is seeking a qualified candidate to work as a crane operator on a mid-stream stevedoring rig based out of our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Waggaman LA.
- Operate crane in midstream stevedoring operations discharging various cargos by bucket/hook
- Inspection of crane associated equipment and applicable rigging necessary for safe and productive operation
- Lead and train stevedore personnel in operations and care of stevedoring production assets
- Oversee crane/rig insuring that care housekeeping cleaning and maintenance is maintained to Company standards
- Coordinate with shift lead and rig crews to accomplish safe and productive crane operations
- Complete a variety of required forms electronically and on paper
- Lead rig personnel in completing required training and documentation
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management
- Previous experience operating cranes in a stevedoring environment
- ADM approved crane operator certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days
- Ability to follow direction and execute tasks under the supervision of the Shift Lead or operations management
- Ability to execute and assist with inspection and maintenance of crane and associated components including but not limited to general maintenance cable changes lubricants and bucket maintenance
- Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents
- Computer skills sufficient to safely and productively operate crane and complete a variety of reports and documents
- Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments and priorities depending upon identified needs of the rig or vessels. Working extended hours evenings weekends and Holidays also required
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to work in all types of climates
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work

- Must pass a pre-employment physical drug screening and Company human performance exam (physical ability test)
- Standing for prolonged periods of time
- Frequent heavy lifting
- Prolonged periods of kneeling bending and climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to work near or on large bodies of water at various heights and in confined spaces

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired employees will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
