The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physicians orders while providing excellent service to patients.
This is a full-time position M-F 5:30am-1:30pm occasionally an evening shift from 12:30pm-8:30pm and every other weekend (Sat or Sun) 8am-4:30pm out of our Edina location.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health) a group of local medical practices owned and led by its physicians on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
- Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
- Maintain patient files including internal and external films
- Prepare clean and stock work area with supplies
- Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
- Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
- May include IV contrast administration as needed
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
- ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance ARMRIT Certified or a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an MRI department required.

Essential Requirements:
Ability to:
- Work in a high magnetic field up to 1.5 Tesla.
- Comply with company policies procedures practices and business ethics guidelines.
- Complete job required training.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g. HIPAA Stark OSHA employment laws etc.)
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Work in the clinic during business hours
- Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending lifting stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
- Work at an efficient and productive pace handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
- Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems establish facts and draw valid conclusions

- Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations if required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
- Frequent lift up to 35 lbs. occasional lift up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. or persons in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 lbs.
- Frequent patient positioning including bending stooping squatting twisting & reaching.
