Band: C
Salary range: Up to 36000 depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights
Contract type: 6 month FIxed Term Contract
Location: London Broadcasting House. This is a hybrid role and the successful applicant will be expected to be in their local office 2 days a week.

JOB PURPOSE

The Business Systems & Applications support and co-ordinate the strategic direction and delivery of broadcast and end-user technology across the organisation. They are responsible for the support and ongoing development of key business systems used by the BBC Content Childrens and Nations & Regions divisions including but not limited to:PTK Regions PTK-ComplianceSilvermouse / Diamond50/50ProteusPicosMusicBoxAuto-Recognition.

The main responsibilities for the Junior Service Manager role are to provide a first line support and administrative function to the business community across our portfolio of systems.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

  • Assisting service managers with daily BAU tasks
  • Setting up new user requests and providing first level support
  • Working closely with our users and the rest of BS&A to record triage and respond to user queries
  • To provide light cover on our systems as required
  • To document internal support flows and procedures for our systems andupport the service management team with other related system or administration work as required

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Knowledge of how WhatsOn is used across organisations
  • Knowledge of how Production systems such as PTK Compliance Silvermouse MusicBox are used by the business
  • Experience in the use of JIRA Remedy Confluence and Smartsheet.
  • Proficient in technology best practice and able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proven track record of communicating with a broad range of stakeholders with tact and diplomacy.

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Working knowledge of the commissioning scheduling and production processes within the BBC or broadcasting company.
  • Experience in a support or customer service role.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills.
  • Able to handle confidential information carefully and sensitively.
  • Able to use initiative to problem solve and escalate where appropriate.

Interviews

Interviews will be held in person in LBH or on Teams if preferred. The format will be a blend of BBC Value and technical competency questions held week commencing 7th July 2025.
