Job Description
Infosys is Seeking a Storage and Backup Infrastructure Engineer. This position is crucial for ensuring the reliability scalability and performance of our backup and storage systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing implementing and managing enterprise-level backup and storage solutions.
Required skills:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance ofWichita KS or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
At least 2 years of Storage & Backup support or similar experience.
This role may involve elevated access to Impact Level 4 (IL4) data and/or security requirements for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive data as defined by US Department of Defense (DoD). The eligible candidates must be US Citizens only
Technical Expertise:
Extensive Experience with Power Protect Data Manager (PPDM) and Cybervault solutions.
Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup CommVault or Veeam.
Proficiency in storage technologies including SAN NAS and DAS.
Strong knowledge of storage protocols (iSCSI FC NFS SMB).
Expertise in configuring and managing storage arrays from any one of the vendors like EMC NetApp HPE Pure.
Experience with data deduplication replication and snapshot technologies.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Python) for automation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud storage solutions (AWS S3 Azure Blob Storage Google Cloud Storage).
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware Hyper-V).
Understanding of network infrastructure and security principles.
Certification in storage technologies (e.g. EMC Proven Professional NetApp Certified).
Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds Nagios or Splunk.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
