Job Description
This posting is a pool for undergraduate student tutors to be hired for Learning Commons specific tutoring needs.
To thrive in this role the candidates should act in a professional manner and be sensitive to and respectful of student needs.
Notify Learning Commons Director and students in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel a session.
Keep all information on students you work with confidential.
Support and care about student success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Effective communication skills.
Earned grade of B (3.0) or higher in the selected tutoring topic.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Prior enrollment in the course(s) to be tutored highly desirable.
Capacity to work with students with diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to work the time promised.
Salary Information: Student Assistant 2 $15.26 per hour.
Position Details:
This position is located at the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage.
This is a pooled position which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
This is a part-time non exempt Student Assistant 2 position with rate of pay at $15.26 an hour.
