Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager for our head office in Parel Mumbai. This full-time senior position requires a dynamic and experienced individual to oversee procurement activities. Candidates should have 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience ideally within a similar industry ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices and adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills to ensure cost-effective procurement agreements.
- Proven ability in process improvement enhancing efficiency in procurement operations.
- Civil purchase experience with the ability to handle large scale projects (Mandatory skill).
- Direct purchase experience to streamline the procurement process (Mandatory skill).
- Bachelors in Engineering (BE) or equivalent qualification (Mandatory skill).
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient understanding of market trends supplier evaluation and contract management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the companys objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships ensuring the quality and timeliness of supplies.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and secure the best deals.
- Oversee the approval of procurement initiatives to ensure precise budgeting.
- Coordinate with the finance department to manage purchasing budgets and resolve any payment issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and enhance purchasing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Liaise with senior management to report on procurement performance and implement corrective actions if necessary.
