About Us:The Infrastructure and Capacity Planning (ICP) portfolio is responsible for ensuring that Regional Renal Programs have the necessary infrastructure and services in place to enable in-facility and home dialysis and serve the needs of their patients while promoting quality value for money and innovation.
Role Overview:The Lead will play a key role in ensuring the Ontario Renal Network (ORN) and the ICP portfolio achieve their objectives by leading and supporting various projects and operational functions. This includes infrastructure planning budget management and provincial procurement planning. The Lead will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop high-quality products for communication and decision-making purposes. As part of this role the Functional Lead acts as a subject matter expert and may take on more complex work in developing plans and deliverables deploying resources and may act on the Managers behalf in their absence and may be responsible for day-to-day work allocation.
Here is what you will be doing:
Define objectives and standards prioritize key activities assign accountabilities and develop deliverables as part of the operational plan.
Develop required frameworks processes and tools to execute the operational plan.
Implement policies and strategies to ensure Regional Renal Programs have the necessary infrastructure and services in place to enable in-facility and home dialysis.
Manage equipment-related inventory databases and relevant budgets.
Develop and implement provincial procurement initiatives related to dialysis equipment supplies and services.
Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with internal and external stakeholders and manage working groups/committees related to infrastructure capacity and capital planning.
Monitor and manage compliance with the ORNs Regional Renal Models of Care.
Manage the Ontario Renal Networks Capital Planning Process in collaboration with Ontario Health Regions the Ministry of Health Capital Branch and the Regional Renal Programs.
Identify improvement opportunities and escalate key issues/risks to the Manager; propose and execute solutions to address challenges or mitigate risks.
Supervise team members by providing leadership and guidance on day-to-day operational activities.
Involved in training and development of staff.
Support the Manager in engaging internal and external stakeholders.
Act as backup in the absence of the Manager.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience:
Completion of a bachelors or masters degree major in business administration health administration health informatics information technology or recognized equivalent.
6-8 years of overall work experience in a similar capacity is required.
Experience in supervising a small to medium size team and overseeing day-to-day operational activities.
Experience in engaging and soliciting support from business partners in the delivery of operational activities.
Knowledge and Skills:
A strong understanding of Ontarios health care system particularly health infrastructure planning.
Strong business acumen and political acuity.
Ability to interpret and communicate data.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
People leader.
Ability to build strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong collaborator.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
