Job Description
- POSITION SUMMARY
- Provides leadership and guidance to promote the highest quality of care possible for the resident. Establish goals objectives standards of performance; develop operating policies and procedures; interpret hospital policies standards and regulations to personnel residents medical staff and public. This is achieved through consultation with Administration and consistent with hospital philosophy. The Director of Nursing Services is responsible for planning organizing and directing nursing management of resident care. The Director serves as chief initiator of effective nursing care.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Current North Dakota RN License or compact RN license.
- Current North Dakota RN License or compact RN license.
- Educational Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. A Masters Degree is preferred. Membership in professional organizations desirable.

- Experience Requirements

Must have three to four years nursing experience with two in a supervisory position.

- Special Skills or Training Requirements
- Verification in Nursing Administration is desired. Continual updating of knowledge. Must demonstrate knowledge of communication skills problem solving techniques and understanding of human relations. Must demonstrate the ability to apply professional management principles of planning organizing and leading nursing to affect exemplary nursing practice.
