Join the NVFS Family: We are looking to hire a bilingual Spanish-speaking CASA Case Supervisor to join the NVFS Child and Family Wellbeing team! As the Case Supervisor you will improve outcomes for court-involved children in Alexandria Arlington and Falls Church VA to increase the number who are living in environments free from child abuse and neglect have access to vital resources and are placed in permanent homes. You will increase brand/public awareness of CASA. In addition you will advocate for and mentor youth (18-21) aging out of foster care to successfully transition to independence. As the Case Supervisor you will facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across programs to increase impact

This position has a starting salary is low 60s.
In this role you will:
- Supervise up to 25 volunteer advocates and their cases.
- Assist volunteers in developing case plans and advocacy strategies for active cases.
- Monitor and evaluate each volunteers investigative and advocacy work professionalism and adherence to the CASA role including annual written performance evaluation for each volunteer.
- Review edit and submit court reports.
- Maintain records and case files of active cases.
- Attend court hearings meetings and visits (as needed).
- Maintain collaborative relationships with all professionals involved in cases.
- Maintain case and volunteer records in the CASA Manager database.
- Support volunteer recruitment retention and training efforts.
- Participate in regular supervision with supervisor and provide regular updates.
- Remain current on knowledge of standards and other program-related information.
- Enter data for record keeping and reporting to meet relevant guidelines.
Your Background: We understand that you may obtain skills through a variety of professional personal educational and volunteer experiences.
- Bachelors degree in child welfare public administration counseling human services juvenile justice or law or equivalent experience
- Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish is requiredadditional language skills always welcome.
- This position requires attending the Fall or Spring 40-hour pre-serving training series for CASA volunteers as needed and assigned by supervisor (classes are twice weekly in the evening)
- Supervisory experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including superior editing skills
- Positive conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work with people from varied backgrounds and cultures.
- Effective interpersonal and communications skills ability to build rapport with others.
- Proficiency in usage of basic technological tools including laptops/computers email phones and internet required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
Additional requirements:
- Successful completion of background checks
- Must have reliable transportation to conduct client visits as needed and visit other designated community locations
- May be called upon to work beyond normal working hours
