Job Scope:The EMEA GAC Operations Manager is accountable for managing the activities below:- Managing the General Accounting Close team (50 ) for corporate human and animal nutrition carbohydrates tax departments
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with the ability to inspire others to deliver exceptional results.
- Maintaining the integrity of our global operating model and processes is key to protecting our investment in shared systems executing common processes and leveraged work groups.
- Accountable for driving continuous process improvement within RTR as well as leveraging technology and shared resources.
- Enforce the integrity of RTR processes reporting and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the General Accounting Close team providing guidance training and mentorship.
- Oversee and lead the day to day general ledger activities month end activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Collaborate with various teams within the organization streamline processes and maintain strong relationships across different functions.
- Review and analyze financial results to ensure materially accurate per US GAAP guidelines.
- Maintain a strong internal and operational control environment in compliance with company policies.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
- Prioritize initiatives and process optimization to meet business requirements.
- Manages other GBS related RTR projects.
Requirements:- 10 years of accounting experience including 5 years in people management
- Experience running accounting/finance operations in a shared-service or GBS model.
- Sound knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX is a must have
- Experience with SAP and Blackline is preferred.
- Proficient in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Microsoft Office Suite is nice to have
- Proven track record of process improvement
- Prior experience in managing multiple projects at one time and strong data analytics
- Familiarity with financial planning forecasting and analysis processes
- Visualization and communication skills (to a wide range of audiences both technical and non-technical) is required
- Bachelors degree in accounting.
- Strong functional understanding of ADMs operating structure desired
- Experience with Power BI and large ERP systems (e.g. JDE SAP etc) a plus
