Job Description
Job Title: Infrastructure OpenShift Architect
Location: Dallas TX (Onsite)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Open Shift Architect with a strong OpenShift background responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-grade PaaS solutions on BareMetal infrastructure and Hybrid Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will lead architecture efforts drive automation and ensure high availability security and scalability of infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement as a service infrastructure models covering servers storage backup networks and containers.
- Assess customer environments and build Private Cloud solutions leveraging best practices and industry-leading technology stacks.
- Perform applications-level assessments to optimize deployment strategies.
- Install and configure compute storage and backup stacks ensuring seamless Containers as a Service (CaaS) integration.
- Lead system integration activities for compute storage OpenShift and backup.
- Implement zero-trust architecture with SASE-based infrastructure configurations.
- Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Helm Charts Terraform ensuring reusable repeatable deployments.
- Define and enforce firmware build standards for OpenShift platform installation.
- Ensure high-availability setups for data centers labs and hyperscaler infrastructure.
- Manage file systems storage platforms (NetApp EMC IBM HP Pure) and migration processes.
- Configure virtual networks firewalls load balancers and VPNs for optimized cloud networking.
- Develop cloud solutions utilizing Azure AWS Google Cloud and Oracle PaaS services.
- Architect CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps GitHub Actions and Terraform for cross-platform cloud provisioning.
- Drive container orchestration efforts using Kubernetes AKS and RedHat OpenShift.
- Lead cloud migration projects transforming legacy systems using Azure tools.
- Act as a single point of contact for Hybrid Cloud architecture work overseeing server consolidation migration and transformation solutions.
- Provide technical leadership for production systems ensuring security compliance and performance optimization.
- Create and maintain technical documentation delivering detailed architectural insights.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10 years of IT experience with a strong focus on hybrid cloud architecture.
- Expertise in virtualization microservices and container-based infrastructures.
- Knowledge of x86 server and converged infrastructure technologies (IBM Dell HP Cisco).
- Strong cloud security expertise including IAM encryption auditing CI/CD security.
- Experience with network connectivity DevSecOps principles and automation scripting (PowerShell Terraform Azure CLI).
- Ability to assess infrastructure gaps and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / RedHat OpenShift Certified
- Microsoft Azure or AWS Solution Architect Certified
- Terraform Certification
- Azure Certification (AZ-104 or AZ-305) or equivalent for other cloud services
