Job Description

Job Title: SDET Engineer (Java)
Location: McLeanVA
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design develop and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks using Java.
  • Write comprehensive test cases and scripts for both UI and API levels.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure test coverage early bug detection and product quality.
  • Integrate test suites into the CI/CD pipelines and monitor their execution.
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in architecture and design discussions.
  • Perform root cause analysis of failed test cases and provide detailed bug reports.
  • Develop tools and utilities to improve testing efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends in test automation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience as an SDET or automation engineer.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium TestNG JUnit or RestAssured.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles including unit integration functional regression and performance testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
