Job Description

Position: Senior IT Security Architect
Location: Richmond VA (23219)
Client: State of Virginia
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior IT Security Architect to enhance the security landscape within a dynamic IT division. This role involves developing security architecture patterns and conducting risk analyses to ensure robust application and data security. The ideal candidate will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to implement security measures that align with organizational needs and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and institutionalize enterprise security/technology patterns.
  • Evaluate new implementations and provide sound analyses and recommendations.
  • Manage independent work leveraging documentation and resources effectively.
  • Create and socialize impactful architecture artifacts including standards guidelines and training materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data security and risk management.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of security best practices (7 years)
  • Experience in creating executive-facing security recommendations (7 years)
  • IT Governance and Compliance expertise (3 years)
  • Strong business writing and presentation skills (3 years)
  • Risk-Based analysis experience (7 years)
