Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join its dynamic IR team for an 8-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional procedures is skilled in a wide range of vascular abdominal neurological and genitourinary procedures and is comfortable working in a high-acuity fast-paced environment. This position requires on-call availability and offers a block schedule.
Assist in a wide variety of interventional procedures including:
Angioplasty stent placements embolizations thrombolysis/thrombectomy
Central venous access PICC line placement and care vertebroplasty nephogram
Gastrostomy tube placement biliary drainages and ERCP
Operate and maintain imaging and interventional equipment (e.g. PACS)
Scrub and circulate during procedures ensuring sterile technique
Monitor patients during procedures including use of hemodynamic monitoring
Coordinate care with physicians and other care team members
Document all procedures and care provided accurately
Participate in rotating on-call shifts (1 2 weekdays and weekends as scheduled)
Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience
On-call availability required weekday and rotating weekend
Must be comfortable with advanced vascular and neurological IR procedures
First-time travelers accepted
RTO must be submitted upfront
Education: Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Sciences
Experience: 2 years minimum in Interventional Radiology required

ARRT (R)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
Fluoroscopy Permit
State License (must be active at time of submission)
LA Fire Card (if applicable)
Core Competencies:
Abdominal & Pelvic Procedures: Liver biopsy paracentesis thoracentesis mesenteric angiogram
Vascular Studies: Angioplasty carotid stenting extremity angiography
Neurological IR: Carotid angiography vertebroplasty discogram
Cardiac Cath Lab: Stent placement PTCA cardiac ablation hemodynamic monitoring
Genitourinary Procedures: Nephrostomy ureteral stent placement biliary drainage
Venous Access: PICC lines tunneled ports CVLs placement and maintenance
Systems/Tools: PACS contrast injection systems ablation tools
Additional Competencies (Preferred):
Experience in outpatient biopsies nephrograms kyphoplasty peripheral interventions
Cross-discipline capabilities across IR/Cardiology/Neuro studies
