  • Type: Travel/Contract (13 weeks)

  • Schedule: 4x10-Hour Day Shift (07:30 17:30)

Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join a nationally recognized Magnet facility for a 13-week travel contract. The technologist will play a critical role in supporting a variety of complex interventional procedures within a 377-bed acute care hospital. Ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of IR experience this opportunity offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare procedure rooms and assist with the setup of interventional radiology equipment

  • Scrub and circulate during procedures maintaining sterile fields and assisting radiologists and physicians

  • Perform and support procedures such as:

    • Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures

    • Electrophysiology Studies

    • Vascular & Abdominal Studies including angioplasty embolizations stent placements liver biopsies thoracentesis and ERCP

    • Genitourinary Studies such as nephrostomy cholecystostomy cystoscopy uterine artery embolization

    • Vascular Closure Systems use (Perclose StarClose)

  • Monitor patients and interpret dysrhythmias during applicable procedures

  • Document procedures accurately using Epic EHR

Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience

  • Strong procedural knowledge and sterile technique adherence

  • Comfortable assisting with a wide range of IR cases including advanced vascular and GU procedures

  • No block schedule; flexibility required

Qualifications
  • Education: Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related discipline

  • Experience: At least 1 year of recent IR experience

  • Certifications Required:

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

  • Charting System: Epic (training available if unfamiliar)

Core Competencies:

  • Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures

  • Dysrhythmia interpretation

  • Laser-assisted procedures

  • EP studies

  • Circulate and scrub procedures

  • Use of vascular closure systems

  • Full scope of IR studies:

    • Abdominal/Pelvic: Aortography liver biopsy paracentesis

    • Genitourinary: Nephrostomy stent placements embolizations

    • Vascular: Angioplasty embolization selective angiography
