JOB TITLE: RS Avionics/Electrical Technician IV
LOCATION: Savannah GA
PAY RATE: $36.04/hour

Summary:
-
Provide leadership technical expertise and guidance in performing operational and functional tests repairs and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics/electrical systems.

Ensure defect-free aircraft delivery while supporting safety quality and efficiency goals.
-
Serve as a technical expert in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.

Train and mentor team members in installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications drawings and maintenance manuals.

Ensure high-quality efficient installations; guide troubleshooting processes to ensure timely accurate repairs.

Demonstrate advanced repair techniques including proper splicing soldering and pinning of wiring.

Oversee engineering changes and system modifications.
-
Set up and operate test equipment; perform functional and operational tests to validate performance.
-
Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all completed work.
-
Conduct pre-inspections of completed work to reduce rework and inspection delays.

Maintain troubleshoot and test electronic systems and equipment.
-
Enforce FOD prevention tool control 5S standards and safety regulations.
-
Adapt to schedule changes and coordinate with other departments as needed.

Provide self-inspection capability for avionics testing.
-
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing which may include flight tests.

May train others on systems outside avionics including hydraulics landing gear flight controls environmental or structural systems.
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Six (6) years of experience in an avionics/electrical field or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus four (4) years of related experience.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Strong cross-functional knowledge of aircraft systems beyond avionics is highly desirable.

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
-
A&P license preferred.
-
FCC license preferred.
-
NCATT certification preferred.
-
APU and engine run qualifications.
