JOB TITLE: RS Aircraft Structural Mechanic IV
LOCATION: Mesa AZ
PAY RATE: $32.18/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary:
-
Apply advanced skills and knowledge to complete tasks effectively and contribute to team development

Perform complex structural assembly and fitting operations including drilling and riveting ensuring assemblies meet requirements
-
Interpret complex blueprints schematics and technical instructions to safely fabricate and install parts and equipment on aircraft
-
Transition smoothly to new tasks with minimal impact on schedule or budget
-
Use riveting tools (e.g. pneumatic drills countersinks rivet shavers) to install and remove fasteners without structural damage
-
Follow work orders blueprints and standard operating procedures when working with adhesives sealants and solvents
-
Inspect own work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
-
Mentor and assist team members with blueprint interpretation and troubleshooting production challenges
-
Maintain accurate documentation (e.g. MIR sheets DMTs Crabs PCOs)
-
Align and assemble parts using jigs clamps and fixtures
-
Perform repairs and rework per DMTs MRRs and PCOs to ensure compliance
-
Plan and organize workload to meet schedule and budget expectations; assist in coordinating projects and resource needs

Maintain a clean and organized work area; support 5S Lean and safety initiatives

Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 6 years of related structural assembly experience

Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred
-
Q-Stamp certification preferred
-
Proficient in computer use and related software
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
-
Skilled in close-tolerance work using specialized tools and equipment
-
Proficient in basic math including fractions and decimals
-
Experienced with measuring devices and precision within specified tolerances

Willingness to work any shift

Able to lift up to 50 lbs
-
Capable of climbing ladders and working in confined or elevated areas
-
Must be fluent in reading writing and speaking English

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
