Job Title: Plant Quality Manager

Position SummaryAs a Plant Quality Manager you will report directly to the Plant Quality / SPS Manager and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing quality control systems. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry and customer standards managing quality-related processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strong collaboration across departments and hands-on leadership of hourly quality associates.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Quality/SPS Manager with customer issues and lead effective corrective actions.
Ensure all customer requirements are understood and consistently met.
Assist in developing and executing long-term strategies for the Plant Quality Department.
Manage day-to-day activities of hourly quality team members.
Oversee the quality testing and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Develop implement and train staff on Quality Management System (QMS) protocols.
Lead and support the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Reduce process variation to drive efficiency and improve product quality.
Manage specifications test methods work instructions and auditing processes.
Ensure proper maintenance and storage of quality records.
Create and implement best practices for all plant operations and provide training across all shifts.
Bachelor s degree in Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2 years experience in quality testing and reporting systems within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and APQP processes.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Excellent problem-solving communication and leadership skills.
Experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Work Location: This is a 100% onsite position based in our Franklin Park IL facility.
