Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Oracle Fusion Work and Asset Cloud Services (WACS) Functional Consultant with strong experience in the utilities sector. The ideal candidate will lead the functional design configuration and implementation of Oracle WACS solutions tailored to utility-specific business processes such as work management asset management mobile workforce enablement and resource scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with utility business stakeholders (e.g. field crews engineers asset managers) to gather and document business requirements.
- Translate those requirements into functional specifications process flows and configuration designs for Oracle WACS.
- Configure Oracle WACS for:
- Work order types
- Asset hierarchies
- Scheduling rules
- Resource availability
- Mobile workflows
- Develop comprehensive functional design documents (use cases data mappings interface specs).
- Integrate Oracle WACS with third-party utility systems (GIS CIS MDM ERP).
- Perform and support testing phases (unit integration UAT).
- Train end-users (including field crews and back-office staff) and provide ongoing post-go-live support.
- Stay current with the latest Oracle WACS features updates and industry trends.
- Work with technical teams to ensure effective system integration and scalability.
- Support project execution ensuring deliverables are on time and within scope.
- Contribute to the development of implementation best practices in the utility sector.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on experience implementing/supporting Oracle WACS or similar work & asset management systems in the utilities industry
- In-depth understanding of utility operations including:
- Work and Asset Lifecycle Management
- Field Operations
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Mobile Workforce Enablement
- Strong skills in:
- Functional configuration
- Requirement gathering
- Testing and training
- Experience integrating WACS with enterprise systems (GIS CIS MDM ERP)
- Oracle WACS certification is a plus
- Excellent communication skills-able to interface with both business and technical stakeholders
