We are a mission-driven nonprofit providing transitional housing comprehensive case management and supportive services to families with children experiencing housing instability. Our goal is to empower each family toward independence self-sufficiency and long-term stability.
Position SummaryThe Case Manager Supervisor leads a team delivering high-quality trauma-informed services to families in transitional housing. You will guide and coach case managers facilitate service delivery and ensure compliance with organizational and funder standards all while nurturing a collaborative client-centered team environment.
Key Responsibilities Supervision & Team LeadershipSupervise 4 6 case managers: oversee caseload distribution performance reviews coaching and professional development.
Lead weekly team meetings case conferences and clinical supervision sessions.
Develop and monitor implementation of meaningful goals and development plans for staff.
Ensure case managers maintain regular contact accurate documentation and compliance with program policies including HUD and NYS regulations.
Track service delivery using our data management system and generate reports for funders and leadership.
Coordinate referrals to internal/external services-mental health healthcare employment education legal childcare etc.
Handle complex/sensitive family cases as needed: crisis intervention safety planning behavioral issues.
Ensure individualized service plans for families that are strengths-based culturally responsive and appropriate for children.
Support case managers in conducting home visits and family engagement activities.
Collaborate with leadership to create/update program policies procedures and protocols.
Use program data and feedback to identify gaps and implement improvements.
Stay current on best practices in transitional housing child welfare trauma-informed care and relevant policy developments in Westchester County.
Build strong partnerships with local agencies-child protective services schools workforce programs legal aid.
Represent shelter at stakeholder meetings funder site visits and community coalitions.
Participate in audits and ensure corrective action plans are implemented and tracked.
Bachelors degree in Social Work (BSW) Psychology Human Services or related field.
3 years of experience in case management with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead capacity.
Experience working with families children housing programs and trauma-informed care.
Strong knowledge of regional resources (Westchester services) housing regulations and child welfare systems.
Excellent leadership communication documentation and data management skills.
Masters degree (MSW MA) in Social Work or a related field.
Experience with electronic case management systems (e.g. Apricot Efforts to Outcomes Penelope).
Bilingual Spanish/English fluency.
Empathetic culturally competent and reflective of equity-minded client-focused practice.
Skilled at managing stress ambiguity and crisis situations with composure and professionalism.
Highly organized detail-oriented proactive and solution-focused.
Full Time
