Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager who is both strategic and hands-on. This individual will bridge the gap between business and technology ensuring that complex technical projects are delivered on time within scope and aligned with business goals. You will work closely with engineering product and business stakeholders to drive initiatives from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for technical initiatives particularly in settlement funding and reconciliation systems.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that include scope timelines milestones resource allocation and risk mitigation strategies.
- Define project objectives and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers to understand system architecture APIs microservices and data flows.
- Manage Agile Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning stand-ups retrospectives).
- Own and maintain Jira boards ensuring accurate tracking of epics stories and tasks.
- Identify and mitigate project risks dependencies and blockers.
- Communicate project status timelines and deliverables to stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution.
Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in technical project management or business analysis in fintech payments or financial services.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture (microservices REST APIs cloudnative applications).
- Hands-on experience with Jira Confluence and Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Proven ability to write clear business and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Java (Spring Boot) Python (AWS Lambda) SQL and AWS services.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
Preferred to Have
- Experience with reconciliation settlement or Payment processing systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD Docker Kubernetes).
- Exposure to observability tools and messaging systems (Kafka SQS).
- AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect Developer).
