Job Description

Job Title: Mainframe Developer - Commercial Banking Systems (Floral Industry Specialization)
Location: Minneapolis MN
Duration: 12 Month Contract
position type: W2 contract

Position Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to enhance and maintain specialized commercial banking systems supporting the floral industry. The role focuses on custom floral AR/AP workflows and mainframe-to-ERP integrations for perishable goods financing.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain custom COBOL programs for floral accounts receivable/payable (AR/AP) workflows including Perishable inventory collateral tracking Floral industry chargeback handling
Build and support mainframe interfaces
Core banking systems (Fiserv/Symitar)
Floral ERP platforms (Floranext FloristWare)
Modernize legacy floral accounting modules while maintaining z/OS compliance

Technical Requirements:
8 years IBM z/OS development (COBOL JCL CICS DB2)
Custom AR/AP program logic for industry-specific billing
Mainframe-to-ERP integrations (IDMS MQ or API gateways) Floral accounting cycles Perishable collateral management Financial file structures (ACH EDI 820)
Floral/agricultural banking systems.
