Job Description
Position: Oracle POS / Xstore Techno-Functional Consultant
Location: City of Industry CA
Duration: Long term contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Oracle POS/Xstore Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team in City of Industry CA. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional understanding of Oracle Retail Point of Sale (Xstore) along with hands-on technical expertise in integrations configurations and customizations. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders developers and support teams to implement and support Xstore solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather and analyze requirements related to Oracle Xstore POS.
- Configure and customize Oracle Xstore Retail POS system to meet business needs.
- Develop and troubleshoot interfaces between Xstore and external systems (ERP Payment Gateways Loyalty CRM etc.).
- Perform system upgrades patches and enhancements in the Xstore environment.
- Participate in the full SDLC including requirements gathering design development testing deployment and support.
- Conduct functional testing regression testing and UAT support.
- Document functional specifications design documents and user manuals.
- Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with Oracle support for SRs and patch management.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of experience with Oracle Retail Point of Sale (Xstore) with at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Retail suite (Xstore ORPOS ORCE etc.).
- Hands-on experience in Java-based customization of Xstore.
- Experience with Xstore Web Services Middleware integrations (WebLogic SOA or Kafka).
- Good understanding of retail store operations and POS processes (Sales Returns Discounts Inventory Promotions etc.).
- Ability to write functional and technical specs.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases and basic SQL/PLSQL.
- Excellent communication problem-solving and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oracle Retail Certification is a plus.
- Experience with Mobile POS Self-Checkout or omnichannel retail.
- Exposure to cloud-based Xstore implementations.
- Retail industry domain experience is highly preferred.
