Holy Cross Medical Group in partnership with Holy Cross Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a collaborative mission-driven team in beautiful Fort Lauderdale Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned surgeon to work in a dynamic inpatient and outpatient setting supported by a leading healthcare system with a focus on clinical excellence compassion and community.
Job Description:
The Cardiothoracic Surgeon will:
Perform a range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures
Participate in inpatient and outpatient care (rounding and clinic)
Take shared on-call responsibilities (10 12 days/month including 2 weekends/month)
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary medical team
Use the EPIC EMR system for documentation and coordination of care
See an average of 20 patients per day
Contribute to building the Cardiothoracic Surgery program by joining as the second surgeon
Participate in call and emergency surgical coverage
Not open to new graduates or truly Board Eligible candidates
Not open to APPs (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants)
Not open to candidates with lapsed Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Not open to candidates commuting more than 1 hour or working multiple jobs concurrently
Not open to H-1B visa candidates (J1 visa sponsorship only)
