Job Description
This position is for a Certified Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital setting. The CST will provide surgical support in a variety of surgical specialties including general orthopedic urologic gynecological and endoscopic procedures. The role requires at least two years of experience scrubbing experience and on-call availability. First-time surgical technologists are welcome to apply.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by handing instruments prepping patients and maintaining sterility.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
- Ensure proper documentation of surgical procedures.
- Work with a variety of surgical specialties including general orthopedic urologic gynecological and endoscopic procedures.
- Float to other facilities (Outpatient Surgery Pavilion) as needed.
- On-call availability as needed.
- Experience scrubbing in surgical procedures.
- Current BLS certification.
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist certification.
- Experience in Sterile Processing Department (SPD).
- Outpatient surgical experience.
- Floating to sister facilities including the Outpatient Surgery Pavilion (3 OR suites) is required.
- Shift times vary with start times ranging from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM and end times ranging from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Weekend shifts are required.
- The hospital is an acute care facility with 212 beds.
- Free parking is available.
- RTO (Return to Office) must be included at the time of submission.
- 50-mile radius for local rate.
- Shift start and end times vary depending on need (6:30 AM - 9:30 AM start; 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM end).
- Weekend shifts are required.
- Shift assignments will be determined based on hospital needs.
