Job Description:
Seeking a seasoned Mainframe Developer to join Morgan Stanleys Wealth Management Product Technology (WMPT) division. The developer will work on mission-critical banking applications and be part of a global Agile team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality COBOL/JCL and DB2-based applications
- Design and maintain scalable mainframe systems
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate globally
- Ensure application performance and production stability
- Take ownership of development tasks and see them to closure
Required Skills:
- 5 7 years of hands-on COBOL and JCL experience
- Strong expertise in DB2: performance tuning data modeling
- Agile methodology experience (JIRA or similar tools)
- Proven experience with major transactional mainframe systems
- SDLC knowledge (Agile Waterfall)
- Strong problem-solving communication and ownership mindset
Preferred Skills:
- Financial services domain experience
- Knowledge of CICS REXX MQ and CICS web services
- Familiarity with distributed systems and programming languages
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (minimum) in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
