We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager II for Medical/Surgical Ward for a Hospital in Galway Ireland.
Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality evidence-based patient care as part of a devoted and friendly nursing team working within the NMBI scope of practice.
- In charge of overseeing the departments general operations and making sure that all employees provide patient care in compliance with policies procedures and guidelines.
- In charge of assigning and overseeing floor personnel tasks.
- As decided by the director of nursing the sister-in-charge is in charge of administrative tasks after hours.
- Regularly evaluates the floors workload examining output performance and quality to guarantee better patient care.
- Maintains positive working connections and makes ensuring that departments and other disciplines communicate effectively.
- Compiles patient reports and returns for the administrative nursing and medical staff as needed.
Requirements
- Five years post registration experience
- Appropriate management background and/or credentials
- Outstanding communication leadership responsibility and interpersonal skills; suitable clinical and managerial abilities with proof of ongoing professional development
- The roster will typically operate five days a week although in accordance with service standards a flexible approach to work schedules is necessary.
- In addition to having five years of nursing experience since obtaining state registration ideally in an acute general medical or surgical setting the position holder must meet the requirements for a minimum level of RGN.
- Experience and a relevant management qualification are needed.
- The position holder will be expected to have a flexible mindset in order to adapt to changes as needed to maintain patient care.
