LLD Mild/Moderate
2025-2026 School Year
Claremont Elementary School
Seeking a NJ Department of Education certified Special Education Teacher w/ K-6 Elementary Certification.
CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS
Valid New Jersey K-6 Elementary Certificate and Teacher of Students with Disabilities
OR
Teacher of the Handicapped
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct ongoing assessments to identify students strengths challenges and individual learning preferences.
- Design and deliver instructional interventions using evidence-based practices and principles of Universal Design for Learning.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure continuous growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and partnership in supporting students academic and social-emotional development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction and support in a variety of subjects to students with mild/moderate disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers paraprofessionals and other support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Commitment to equity diversity and inclusion in education.
- Proficiency with instructional technology.
- Spanish speaking a plus
