This is a pool from which the College of Arts and Sciences will draw when research professionals are needed to work on sponsored projects. This temporary position may be part- or full-time. Qualified applicants for this position will be placed into a hiring pool from which research professionals will be hired. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of a contract.
Knowledge of research methods and analytical procedures. Ability to use computerized tools to organize and analyze information and communicate findings. Knowledge of standard reporting procedures. Skilled in accurate data collection methods.
Varies according to project requirements and level of position to be filled:
Research Professional 1: Six months experience in relevant field or acceptable combination of education and experience.
Research Professional 2: One years experience in relevant field or acceptable combination of education and experience.
Research Professional 3: Two years postgraduate level experience in relevant field or acceptable combination of education and experience.
Research Professional 4: Four years postgraduate level experience in relevant field or acceptable combination of education and experience.
Research Professional 5: Four years postgraduate level experience in relevant field or acceptable combination of education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:

Research Professional 1: Bachelors degree and six months experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science math business) or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Professional 2: Bachelors degree and one years experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science math business) or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Professional 3: Masters degree and two years postgraduate level experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science math business) or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Professional 4: Masters degree and four years experience at postgraduate level in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science math business) or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Professional 5: PhD and four years postgraduate level experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science math business) or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This is a part-time or full-time non-exempt temporary hires will be placed on theTemporary Salary Tableand the Grade is determined based on education and experience.
This is a pooled position which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
