Job Description
Amazon Fire TV reaches millions of customers worldwide through our Live TV offering. Were expanding our Live TV engineering team to build the next generation of television experiences that combine traditional broadcasting and streaming technology. Our team builds and owns critical components that power live television viewing across all Fire TV devices. As a Software Development Engineer on the Live TV team you will:
- Design and implement core features for the Live TV client application
- Investigate prototype and deliver new and innovative software features
- Build scalable solutions that serve millions of monthly active users
- Drive technical decisions across Fire TVs Live platform
- Create integration points between Live TV Alexa and other Fire TV services
- Deliver high quality software through working in a dynamic team-focused Agile/Scrum environment.
We are looking for passionate hard-working and talented software engineers who have experience building innovative mission critical high volume applications that customers love. You will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design architecture and implementation of products used every day by people you know. This is a high visibility team where you will get a chance to make a positive impact on customer experience.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 1 years of Android development experience
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
