Job Description

Join our New Construction HVAC team as an HVAC Install Helper. Youll work closely with lead installers to support mechanical and refrigerant installations in new constructions - gaining practical experience in equipment placement ductwork line sets wiring and start-up. Brazing experience is a strong plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing central heating and cooling systems in new construction.
  • Transport position and secure air handlers condensers furnaces and roof-top unitsensuring proper alignment and placement.
  • Prepare and connect refrigerant copper lines; perform soldering/brazing under supervision. Brazing experience is a plus.
  • Install sheet metal and flex duct systems plus grilles registers and diffusers per design specifications.
  • Support thermostat and low-voltage control wiring following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Help with system start-up pressure testing evacuation charging and initial functionality testing.
  • Load/unload materials stage tools and maintain clean safe and organized job sites.
  • Collaborate with lead installers and project managers to ensure on-time project completion.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
  • Assist in maintaining tools tracking inventory and helping with orders.
  • Promptly report any installation discrepancies or issues to the lead technician

Qualifications

  • 12 years of hands-on new construction HVAC installation experience.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems ductwork copper piping refrigerant handling and electrical wiring.
  • Practical skills using hand and power tools; soldering/brazing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and installation manuals.
  • Physical strength - able to lift 50 repeatedly climb ladders and work in tight or elevated spaces.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Strong communication teamwork attention to detail and willingness to learn.
