Job Description
Do you like helping others succeed We are seeking tutors for Tutoring students as assigned and needed. This recruitment is open internally to current UA employees or those otherwise eligible to apply to internal postings.
Ability to independently schedule and convene appointments and to work assigned hours possibly including evenings or weekends.
Must possess excellent problem solving organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Ability to effectively explain and demonstrate academic content concepts using a variety of teaching and rhetorical strategies.
Completion of college-level coursework with an average of 3.0 or higher in subjects tutored.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior tutoring experience preferred but not required. Orientation or training provided upon hire.
Position Details:
This position is located at the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage.
This is a part-time non-exempt temporary staff position 12 month. Rate of pay $18.18 an hour grade 76/step 1 based on education and experience.
