RFK Community Alliance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Science Teacher to join our team in Springfield MA! $2500 Sign-On IncentiveThis position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1500 after 12 months. Who We SeekRobert F. Kennedy Academy is a therapeutic day school that provides educational and clinical services to students with diverse abilities and disabilities including those in the emotional psychiatric and learning realms. The schools curriculum and support services assist students in reaching milestones such as graduation the transition to post-secondary educational and vocational opportunities or the return to public school. A small school by design RFK Academy creates individualized learning opportunities and accommodation while establishing a community of learners among students for whom connections to school have often been a challenge. Thats where you come in!The Science Teacher is vital in the creation of a differentiated curriculum instruction of content and most importantly supporting students ability to access the academic program at RFK Academy. You will also implement grade-level curricula to meet academic standards based on the Mass. Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Curriculum. Requires ability to recognize the unique qualities of each student and incorporate them into appropriate lessons and/or projects. Who You AreYou are someone who leads with compassion and who values collaboration professionalism and teamwork. The best-qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree but a Masters degree and MA certification in Science (5-12) or Moderate Disabilities preferred (5-12) is Education Teacher: Moderate Disabilities High School Science background preferredShift:Monday - Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm (40 hours)Who We AreRFK Community Alliance provides high-quality care and support to people and families facing complicated challenges.
