The Connection Ministry Assistant (Brentwood Campus) is responsible to the church under the direction of the Connection Minister for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Connection Ministry. This includes coordination and assistance across areas such as Guest Services Membership Security Data Management and general departmental operations.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
Support for Connection Ministerial Staff
- Provide proactive support for the Connection Minister to anticipate and prepare for upcoming events and projects.
- Coordinate meetings and appointments for the Connection Minister.
- Assist the Membership Minister in coordinating weekly baptisms and special baptism services.
- Assist with scheduling monthly Team and Campus Connection Minister meetings.
- Assist Guest Services Minister with team communication and scheduling as needed.
- Organize special events such as Guest Services Team luncheons and Discover Team gatherings.
- Coordinate the After-hours Team schedule.
Administrative & Office Management
- Design implement maintain and update departmental office procedures and systems.
- Perform general office tasks including managing request forms correspondence room requests and handling incoming communications.
- Maintain inventory and order office and class supplies and snacks as needed.
- Maintain and update the Connection Team calendar.
- Support annual planning and scheduling of key events (e.g. Discover classes team meetings retreats).
Financial & Personnel Support
- Assist with preparing reviewing and maintaining department budgets.
- Support scheduling and documentation of team evaluations (e.g. quarterly reviews job descriptions etc.).
- Process and maintain records related to Connection Team personnel matters.
- Reconcile monthly credit card charges for the department.
Data Management & Reporting
- Run reports and perform data mining from the Ministry Platform church database.
- Prepare statistical reports and analysis for departmental use.
- Enter and track security and medical incidents in Ministry Platform.
Ministry & Event Collaboration
- Collaborate with ministerial staff on special Connection-related events.
- Cooperate with events and activities hosted by external ministry partners.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:
- Participation in staff meetings as required by the department
- Check email and refer emails and voicemails to appropriate minister/ministry
- Complete applicable weekly/quarterly/annual reports required by the department
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Provide administrative support to Pastoral Care Team as needed to including assistance with funerals deacon emails and Mobile Tools daily update.
- Coverage for Funeral and deacon ministry when Congregational Care Coordinator is unavailable.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred Bachelors degree from four-year college or university minimum of two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
