You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnder the supervision of the Violence Recovery Program (VRP) Manager the Bilingual Counselor/Advocate provides counseling and advocacy services in English and Spanish to victims/survivors of partner abuse/domestic violence sexual assault anti-LGBTQ hate violence and police misconduct -- with a specialized focus on serving lesbian gay bisexual transgender and queer survivors. The Bilingual Counselor/Advocate will provide telehealth for the foreseeable future and will transition to include on-sight care in Boston as in-person VRP services resume. The Bilingual Counselor/Advocate also participates in telehealth group facilitation coalition work and occasional presentations for other providers.
Representative Duties:
Provides direct services to clients in Spanish and English
Collaborates with victim services agencies and community organizations in support of survivor rights
Engages in outreach and training/in-services to the community-at-large
Effectively carries out activities related to VRPs provision of services to clients
Meets Agency Participatory Expectations
Performs other related duties as required
