Job Duties
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginias Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across three nursing units.
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a part-time Housekeeper/Porter for the 3P-1130P Shift this will include some weekends.
Job Duties Include:
-Ensuring the facility is kept clean by dusting mopping sweeping damp/wet mopping polishing scrubbing vacuuming trash removal and for the removal of bio-hazard waste.
-Keeping their assigned areas clean and attractive
-Promoting sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection
-Ensuring all equipment is in working order
-Completing their daily routine however each staff member is cross-trained in all other areas of Environmental Services and can be asked to perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1 Year Prior Housekeeping experience required.
Additional Considerations
Experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred.
Experience stripping and waxing floors extracting and bonnet cleaning of carpets.
