We are seeking a dynamic and driven Agency Development Manager (Acquisition) to join our Local Ads team. In this role you will be responsible for identifying and establishing relationships with local and regional advertising agencies to drive adoption of Amazon Ads solutions. This is a hunting role where you will be responsible for prospecting qualifying and initiating partnerships to drive adoption of Amazon Ads solutions. You will play a crucial role in expanding our reach within the local agency ecosystem. You will act as a strategic partner providing insights and guidance to help agencies achieve their marketing objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring a consultative approach to building and nurturing agency relationships. Youll need to be an exceptional communicator comfortable presenting to and collaborating with senior-level agency executives. A strong knowledge of the programmatic trading landscape is important.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of video (upfront) marketplace and working knowledge of data-driven (i.e. programmatic) media trading and media strategy
Domain expertise in digital advertising with focus on AdTech and programmatic
Experience working with senior agency executives and navigating agency dynamics
Experience building new customer relationships
Experience in business development working with media agencies
Key job responsibilities
* Proactively identify and prospect new local and regional advertising agencies through various methods (e.g. research networking referrals).
* Qualify potential agency partners based on their business needs and alignment with Amazon Ads offerings.
* Conduct introductory meetings and presentations to educate agencies on the value proposition of Amazon Ads.
* Develop and execute strategic plans to drive agency adoption of Amazon Ads solutions.
* Act as a strategic consultant providing insights and recommendations to help agencies meet their clients marketing objectives.
* Maintain a deep understanding of the local advertising landscape and identify opportunities for growth.
* Collaborate with internal teams (sales marketing product) to deliver comprehensive solutions to agencies.
* Manage and track agency performance against key metrics.
* Maintain consistent messaging and delivery of new Amazon Ads narratives particularly for STV/Video products.
* Ability to travel up to 50%.
* Beginning May 2025: Five days per week office presence required
8 years of advertising sales experience with a focus on prospecting Local digital media and agency partnerships.
8 years of advertising industry experience with a deep understanding of video advertising AdTech and programmatic solutions.
Experience in Streaming TV sales.
Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.
Excellent communication presentation and analytical skills.
Prior experience in agency development at a major media company
Business development experience working with media agencies
Proven track record of delivering results and driving ambitious revenue growth
Ability to successfully engage and negotiate at C-Level within agencies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
