You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Washington County Housing Department and Housing Authority of Washington County is currently looking for its next Accounting Assistant II to provide financial expertise to help us advance our mission ofcreating pathways out of homelessness promoting housing stability and investing in affordable communities for Washington County and our residents.
This role supports the Washington County Housing Department and Housing Authority of Washington County by performing intermediate accounting duties such as processing accounts payable and receivable managing vendor payments and reconciling financial records across multiple housing programs and funding sources. This role ensures accurate data entry timely payments and compliance with internal procedures and federal housing regulations.
Theideal candidate is detail-oriented dependable and experienced in processing accounts payable and receivable within a public agency. They are comfortable working with financial systems managing high volumes of transactions and ensuring the accuracy and compliance with housing-related funding requirements. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for working with vendors and program staff.
