The Systems Operations Administrator position within the IT Operations team is responsible for the configuration and day-to-day support for all Linux OS systems and applications. This position ensures the security of all Linux OS systems as well as client internal tool and product implementations. The position also supports the administration and configuration of load balancing systems. Additionally the System Operations Administrators perform ongoing analysis of Zoots systems isolate issues provide recommendations based on incident and problem resolution and proactively analyze Zoots core processes and configurations ensuring availability of supportable reliable resilient and scalable environments. The System Operations Administrator position is fast paced and ever changing and requires the employee manage changing priorities.
The IT Operations team is part of the Production Operations group and is responsible for the day-to-day configuration maintenance operation and support of Zoots infrastructure and software. The team develops and uses tools for automation of operational tasks and analyzes system utilization and performance metrics to ensure optimal operation of Zoots systems and environments.
The Production Operations group is responsible for managing the configuration and day-to-day running of the software infrastructure monitoring live applications identifying and resolving issues that arise in the production environment providing technical support to end-users and ensuring the smooth operation of the software product by quickly addressing incidents and minimizing downtime. This group essentially acts as the first point of contact for any problems users experience once deployed to production. The Production Operations group performs tasks like configuration deployment monitoring maintenance incident response system performance optimization and user support.

Essential Job Functions |
- Assist with evaluating and recommending IT solutions products and services.
- Coordinate and implement security measures to protect data software and hardware.
- Maintain and administer deployment standards for system builds updates and patch management.
- Install new software releases and system upgrades evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
- Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve hardware software or other system problems and replace defective components when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance and backups as necessary on servers.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of systems.
- Provide technical support training and documentation to the other Operations teams.
- Respond to requests to assist in critical problem troubleshooting and resolution including after-hours support needs.
- Develop and deploy code and/or functionality to the production environment in alignment with Zoots policies procedures processes and best practices.
- Plan coordinate and implement system hardware and software replacements or upgrades.
- Participate in scheduled monthly maintenance windows.
- Continually monitor and analyze system health utilization capacity and performance of the system to detect abnormalities and defects in core processing or configurations and trends. Provide recommendations and implement changes based on the analysis of data sets.
