The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Companys Labor Relations organization is currently seeking a Senior Labor Relations Specialist to join our team in Auburn WA.
The ideal applicant is someone who has a broad range of experience covering the areas of labor relations positive employee relations and employee engagement. The selected candidate for this position will demonstrate proactive approaches to identifying issues generating ideas and developing solutions. They will also be someone who is independent where they are self-driven and have the ability to lead teams/projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Partner with leadership to maintain and foster relationships with employees that ensures a culture where management preserves the direct relationship with employees and the site remains non-union
Identify risks both internal and external - to a strong direct relationship between leaders and employees and develop plans to mitigate those risks
Execute positive employee relations and containment processes for a stand-alone site(s)
Provide innovative ideas/initiatives to increase employee engagement
Provide operational advice and counsel to management Human Resources (HR) and support groups on a broad range of employee relations issues
Develop strong partnerships with business leaders HR Generalists HR functions and create integrated solutions that will foster a culture based on relationships trust and engagement
Develop and provide education on Employee Relations strategies and processes
Assist management and HR in developing strategies related to employee survey feedback
Understand and provide guidance and interpretation on collective bargaining agreements and labor relations issues
Engage with key stakeholders including business leaders Human Resources (HR) finance and site/functional Labor Relations (LR) to identify potential labor efficiencies in the business
Leverage Lean and Change Management principles to provide advice to LR HR and business leaders for process improvements and best practices
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
5 years of experience creating and developing strategy plans and/or executing strategies and managing projects
5 years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior business leaders across functions and/or programs
5 years of experience working with labor unions
Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or higher
5 years of experience in HR or Employee Relations
5 years of experience with HR Labor and/or Employment related laws policies and procedures in particular the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
5 years of experience with collective bargaining and union-represented workforce
Experience identifying and mitigating risks to a direct relationship between leaders and employees
Experience with negotiations
Experience with Workday
