Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Minimum 5 years work experience in network infrastructure design implementation and management
Expert knowledge of all network protocols and routing standards
Expert knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls Cisco wired and wireless infrastructure configuration and management
Expert knowledge of network capacity planning network security principles and general network management best practices
Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory environments
Ability to review constructions plans for new build/re-models and provide technical input as it relates to cabling infrastructure
Primary Purpose:
Assist in the management design and implementation of an enterprise level Cisco-based routing switching infrastructure to ensure high-availability security and functionality.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Used:
Laptop computer general hand tools network test equipment network monitoring equipment digital voltmeters and ladders.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide travel working off of ladders lifting of heavy equipment (50 lbs). On occasion working prolonged hours including weekends and Holidays to facilitate repair and upgrade of campus infrastructure as needed. Will use small hand tools related to completing assigned duties.
