Hitachi Energy is looking for a talented and self-standing technical writer for its Krakw Poland location. In this role you will cooperate with multiple development teams to write documentation for different products.
How You Will Make an Impact
Create and update product documentation and descriptions without oversight
Cooperate with Product Managers UX Designers Developers and other Technical Writers
Speak with development teams to clarify feature details and specifications
Take the lead of documentation projects
Share your knowledge with other team members
Test beta features and learn how our software works to become a subject matter expert
Your background
Bachelors degree or higher in technical writing English communications or a related area of study
Fluent English (both written and spoken)
At least 6 years in a similar role with some experience of writing for technical audiences
Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills to prepare easy-to-read text in plain English
Practical knowledge of using international style guides for writing in English (Microsoft Manual of Style or the AP Stylebook) or STE
Experience working with a docs-as-code workflow and ability to prepare simple code samples
Experience with technical writing tools (MadCap Flare) content management systems source control systems (Git) Jira and Confluence
