Its an exciting time to join Markel as our business grows and we are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our UK Marketing team (3 days in the office / 2 days working from home). The role will be based ideally at our Manchester office but we will consider some based in Leeds.
The Marketing department within UK National Markets is a fun high performing team of motivated and talented marketers covering the full marketing mix delivering innovative and bespoke insurance solutions to UK businesses from charities and care organisations to providers of IT services and media companies.
In line with the businesss ambitious growth targets and its NMUK strategy the Marketing team restructured at the beginning of 2022 aligning itself to the key distribution channels within its UK business. The investment in the team is testament to the value the business places in the Marketing function and the key role it will play in achieving its growth objectives. This has created a number of exciting opportunities within the team including a new role within the Marketing Services team supporting the delivery of the NMUK Marketing plan. What youll be doing:
We are looking for a Digital Marketing specialist to support the Digital Development Manger in managing the digital team and providing a best-in-class multi-channel digital strategy for target audiences and defined channels
Ensuring the channel deliverables reflect the key marketing success metrics and are implemented in a timely manner within budgetary controls
Being an effective member of the Digital and Marketing Services team working closely with the Digital Development Manager Content Design and Event leads to deliver the plan
Ensure that all collateral and communications are on brandand maintain brand and tone governance
Experience managing effective strategy and execution of social campaigning from brief to reporting and optimisation
CRM experience of data management and enrichment
Full experience and management of multi-channel digital campaigning
Supporting the reporting and tracking of all Digital Marketing activity and measurement of valueand optimisationsproviding value and optimisations of day-to-day monthly and campaign reporting offering insight value and optimisations for campaign evolution
Striving to deliver standard process and brand governance across all activities
Our must haves:
4 years digital marketing experience either agency or in-house website email SEO social channels (LinkedIn & You Tube)
Experience of using HubSpot is essential!
Agency or in-house candidateswill be considered
Experience in account and vendor management including client and partner facing situationsand stakeholder management
Experience in workstack / ticket system management for workload/ project management
Experience in BAU / day-to-day reporting collaborator & team awareness of performance and optimisations as agreed with wider digital team
Experience with eMarketing design build and reporting. Best practice. Understanding of automations and nurture sequences
Social (LinkedIn and YouTube) design build management and reporting including organic & paid
Website CMS management and page maintenance
Experience with PPC and SEO
Excellent organisational communication and writing skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to perform well under pressure and work with team framework.
Passion for building relationships and getting to know people and their needs both digitally and in person across teams throughout Markel
Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines and work on a number of projects at once.
Desire to study for a Marketing qualification company supported and funded
