Job Description
East Oakland Youth Development Center: The mission of the East Oakland Youth Development Center (EOYDC) is to nurture the holistic development of youth from kindergarten into adulthood so that they can live a life of prosperity integrity and purpose.
In partnership with La Clinica EOYDC will:
- Place 4 interns for a work-based learning opportunity at La Clnica. For the duration of the internship EOYDC staff will hold weekly check-ins with the intern to provide guidance encouragement and additional support to ensure successful completion of the internship. Additionally EOYDC will coordinate reflection and evaluation assignments to be completed by the intern.
- Job Training: EOYDC in partnership with RepresentEd Leadership will provide job training for the interns placed at La Clnica. As part of EOYDCs training interns learn various aspects of professional development including common workplace expectations effective communication and teamwork.
- Youth Development Coaching: EOYDC will provide regular check-ins with the interns supervisor/mentor to provide support discuss any challenges/concerns and any other additional coaching that may be helpful.
