Job Description

This is a pool from which the for College of Health will draw when research technicians are needed to work on sponsored projects. This is a part-time temporary position. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of employment. College of Health conducts applied and fundamental scientific research and collects synthesizes archives and distributes data specimens and knowledge partly through conducting field work.

Knowledge of data collection procedures data entry procedures and computerized spreadsheets and databases. Ability to manipulate data to produce charts and graphs to display trends in data. Ability to interpret data results for reporting. Ability to work in remote locations sometimes in extreme conditions. Ability to coordinate/lead the activities of others.

Varies by level of position need.
Research Technician 1: High school graduation and 6 months experience in field relevant to research or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Technician 2: 1 years relevant college coursework and 1 years experience in relevant field or equivalent combination training and experience.
Research Technician 3: 2 years relevant college coursework and 2 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Research Technician 4: Bachelors degree in relevant field and 4 years experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This is a part-time non-exempt temporary position. New hires will be placed on theTemporary Salary Tableand the Grade is determined based on education and experience.

This is a pooled position which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
